Lawmakers will take up Youngkin’s ideas on April 2 when they return to Richmond to address any changes the governor wants to make to their handiwork.

In his final year in office, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin proposed over 200 amendments to the Commonwealth’s budget.

Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) took action against several bills on Monday, including legislation that would have raised minimum wage, guaranteed paid sick leave for all Virginia workers and created a board to review prescription drug pricing.

Monday afternoon saw over 300 signatures and a handful of vetoes, while he had until 11:59 p.m. for his other signatures, amendments and vetoes to be posted on Virginia’s Legislative Information System.

Gov. Glenn Youngkin began issuing vetoes Monday, rejecting legislation passed by the General Assembly this year that would raise the minimum wage and prohibit carrying certain semi-automatic center-fire rifles and shotguns in public spaces.
