A reported meeting between the Packers and Jayden Reed's camp prompted concern he could be disgruntled, but his role in Green Bay's offense is secure.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst met with wide receiver Jayden Reed’s agent Drew Rosenhaus last week to clarify that the team's selections of Golden and third-round pick Savion Williams "will not affect Reed’s status as its top receiver.

The Packers selected Texas's Matthew Golden with the 23rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, who became their only receiver taken in the first round since 2002. Green Bay additionally added TCU receiver Savion Williams in the third round.
