The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced a cash award of INR 5 crore for the Indian team and its support staff after they won the Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup title on Sunday, February 2.

The BCCI announced a cash prize of Rs 5 crore for the Indian team after their triumph in the ICC Women's Under 19 World Cup in Malaysia. India beat South Africa by nine wickets in the final to clinch their second consecutive title.

The announcement comes after the team won the ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup, at Bayuemas Oval. The Indian team, led by Niki Prasad, went unbeaten in the tournament and clinched their second consecutive title with a thumping nine-wicket victory over South Africa in the final.
