However, he was never interviewed by the organization because he reportedly told his former teammate—and Raiders minority owner—Tom Brady that he was going to New England, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Tom Brady and the Las Vegas Raiders were among the teams interested in hiring Mike Vrabel, but he told his former teammate not to bother because he was determined to land with the Patriots.

Mike Vrabel was named as the Patriots' new head coach on Saturday - 16 years after he left the franchise for the first time - and it's claimed that he told Tom Brady he was always going back
