With new Harry Potter series on the horizon, Cillian Murphy's acting prowess and physical characteristics make him perfect to play Lord Voldemort.

Director of the first and second part of Harry Potter film franchise, Chris Columbus, expressed his support for Cillian Murphy as Lord Voldemort for the TV series. He also shared his excitement for the series,

"Our movie was two hours and forty minutes, and others were about the same length," Columbus commented. He believes that the episodic format now being used will allow the series to include "all the great scenes we couldn't fit into the movies.
