Cristiano Ronaldo did not attend the funeral of Portugal teammate Diogo Jota. The Liverpool forward and his brother Andre were killed in a car crash in northwest Spain in the early hours of Thursday morning. The two were laid to rest in their hometown of Gondomar on Saturday in a private funeral mass.

Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, was one of the conspicuous absentees as his team-mate Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, were both laid to rest.

Diogo Jota was laid to rest on Saturday morning in a funeral attended by his Liverpool and Portugal teammates, as well as Cristiano Ronaldo's brother-in-law Joao Neves
