After a year of Minnesota chefs being front and center on the nation’s culinary stage, the scene was set for another big year as 11 Minnesota chefs and restaurants were named semifinalists for the 2025 James Beard Foundation Awards,

The James Beard Foundation on Wednesday announced the semifinalists for its 2025 Restaurant and Chef Awards, and Chicago saw 22 restaurants, chefs and bars make the cut. The awards, which are among the most prestigious in the U.

The prestigious culinary foundation nominated chefs in Healdsburg, Napa and Glen Ellen. Four North Bay restaurants and chefs have been named semifinalists for the prestigious James Beard Awards in 2025.
