After a three-point game in Thursday’s loss, Philadelphia Flyers’ rookie Matvei Michkov is on top of the rookie scoring ladder. Michkov has scored 19 goals, 25 assists, and 44 points in 58 games.
The storylines were plentiful on Tuesday night. There was the one centered on former Flyers Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost returning to Philly, and current Flyers Andrei Kuzmenko and Jakob Pelletier facing their old pals.
Michkov becomes the first rookie of the 2024-25 campaign to earn Rookie of the Month honors for the second time and the only Flyers rookie in franchise history to do so in the last 30 years. He previously earned the award in October after leading all rookies with four goals and tying for the points lead with nine.
