It's no surprise that first-year UNC football leader and former six-time New England Patriots Super Bowl champion head coach Bill Belichick is setting his sights high when it comes to pursuing potential Tar Heel signal-callers.

On Wednesday's edition of the Pat McAfee Show, Belichick addressed the swirling rumors head-on, particularly calling out Mike Florio and Pro Football Talk. When asked about the reports, he didn’t hold back.

On Monday, Belichick was on the recruiting trail, taking an in-home visit with five-star quarterback Jared Curtis. On3's Hayes Fawcett posted a picture of the visit on X. Curtis is the No. 4 overall prospect and No. 1 QB in the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2026 class. The Tar Heels are one of the many teams that have been in touch with Curtis.
