House Republican leaders are scrambling to shore up support for President Trump's massive domestic policy bill amid pushback to the Senate's changes, as the GOP seeks to approve the final version of the legislation ahead of a July 4 deadline to get the bill to the president's desk.

The House took a critical step toward approving their mammoth tax and spending package early Thursday morning by adopting a rule for the measure after tamping down a revolt.

President Trump is scheduled to sign the bill into law at 4 p.m. on July 4 at the White House, locking in tax reductions and Medicaid cuts.
