A barge full of 4th of July fireworks floating just offshore at Lake Tahoe's Incline Beach sank Friday afternoon.

One Lake Tahoe area Fourth of July fireworks show has been canceled due to storm damage, officials say. The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District announced Friday morning that the Incline Village, Nevada fireworks show scheduled for later in the evening had been canceled after the fireworks barge was damaged by weather.

A major Lake Tahoe fireworks show was cancelled after a barge carrying fireworks for the Incline Village show was damaged in a storm and began sinking. The incident also closed several beaches.
