The Bulls haven't made a trade deadline deal since 2021 when they sent Wendell Carter Jr. and two first-round picks in exchange for Nikola Vucevic. Chief executive Arturas Karnisovas can't afford to continue that inactivity for a third time.

The Golden State Warriors are reportedly the frontrunner to land Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic before the Feb. 6 trade deadline.

Nikola Vucevic has been at the center of trade rumors this season, and one team that seems to be interested is the Golden State Warriors. One issue seems to be the asking price that the Bulls are looking for, and the fact that they want a first-round pick could be stopping the Warriors from making a trade.

Vucevic has been one of the better pick-and-pop centers in the league, hitting 40.5 percent of his catch-and-shoot 3s this season. His resurgence in that area has also been one of the drivers of Zach LaVine's comeback, giving the Bulls guard a ton of space to work with. He would do the same for Curry.

Since JaVale McGee left the Golden State Warriors in 2018, the team has been short on quality depth at the center position. The team should pay the price to change that with one particular player.

While the Lakers are eyeing an upgrade at the center position, neither Jakob Poeltl or Nikola Vucevic will reportedly be among those that the team chases ahead of the trade deadline.
