India has rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that he helped New Delhi and Islamabad reach a ceasefire in exchange for trade concessions.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that hostilities between Pakistan and India were settled, after he urged the two countries to focus on trade instead of war.

Days after claiming that he brokered a peace between India and Pakistan, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, has now taken a U-turn on the issue. The US President said that he doesn’t want to claim full credit but believes that he played a role in halting the hostilities.
