On the day when Kelsey Plum became the first UW women’s basketball player to have her jersey retired, the Huskies overwhelmed Purdue with a blistering offensive attack for an 87-58 win.

At halftime of its game against Purdue on Saturday, Washington sent its first women's jersey to the rafters, retiring the No. 10 that Kelsey Plum wore for four years as she rewrote the school — and NCAA — record books.

It was always a matter of when, not if, Washington would retire Kelsey Plum's number. Eight years after she graduated, it happened. At halftime of its game against Purdue on Saturday, Washington sent its first women's jersey to the rafters,

Trey Kaufman-Renn had 23 points and 11 rebounds to help lead No. 17 Purdue past No. 13 Oregon 65-58 on Saturday. Kaufman-Renn missed his first six shots from the field, but finished 7 for 20 while making all nine of his free throws.

Trey Kaufman-Renn had his second double-double of the season, leading No. 17 Purdue to a win over No. 13 Oregon and extending the win streak to seven games.
