With the U.S. ban on TikTok looming, many Americans are opting for another Chinese app known as RedNote. It could be short-lived.

RedNote, known as Xiaohongshu in China, is owned by a Shanghai-based company and raises similar questions as TikTok.

Newsweek contacted RedNote's offices by email for comment.
