So for today's rate, it looks like a good price, but if the rate changes unfavorably 6 months from now it doesn't matter if the price in JPY stays the same, and a slight drop before release might not be enough to offset the (potentially) worse exchange rate.

I tried to buy a Bandai Chogokin a few years ago, but was denied at checkout by Amazon JP because they wouldn't ship it to me. So I haven't looked at any since then.
