If I had cable tv and turned on the local affiliate at 7pm tonight I could watch it but there seems to be no way of watching it on Roku. I tried the ABC, NBC, game show, Pluto, Philo, Sling options and nothing shows the latest and greatest.

If you want ABC network programming, you need to have an antenna or some Live TV service (cable, satellite, YouTube TV, etc...) Also, for news, some of the free apps like Haystack News, Local Now, NewsOn may offer local NEWS feeds.

Jul 9, 2024 · For a Roku TV, it won't bug you about not having a network connection. I think it would just show "Not connected" instead of the clock in the upper right corner of the Home Screen. However, to set up a Roku TV as a "smart" TV you need a network connection. As I said, you can just bypass that part of the setup and use it as a regular TV.

Sep 18, 2024 · Hello, this might be an old subject, but I had to write. I have a 3-month-old Roku brand TV. It was working perfectly until 7–10 days ago. Now it's lagging & buffering. Apps will buffer, and when I use the live & Roku TV option, the channel will say what's on, but I have to wait 5–10 seconds more for the picture to show up.

May 16, 2023 · No more band-aid housekeeping; resetting, reinstalling, rebooting anything. I found the fix on 02/14/2024, and so far to date, Hulu works 100% on every load request. I have several Roku TV's, as-well-as 40+ other devices on my home network, and the solution I posted in those communities has worked ever since. Hope this helps.
